PESHAWAR: Renowned scientist Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan has said that the sacrifices of lives offered by the heroes of the nation would always be remembered.
This he said in his telephonic address at a launching ceremony of a book titled ‘National Heroes of 65 and 71 Wars’ by Col (R) Azam Khan Qadri at Malik Zahir Shah’s hujra in the Jamrud tehsil of the Khyber Agency the previous day.
He said that after becoming a nuclear power, Pakistan had turned out to be an invincible fort across the world, adding that the role of the national heroes was also unprecedented.
Air Commodore (R) Mir Alam Khan said the Pakistan Army always fought the enemy bravely. He said that the same spirit was now found in the nation once again and the Pakistan Army, Police and all organisations had a capability to stand up against any aggression.
Col (R) Amir Nawaz Khan said that during the Pakistan-India wars, the former had always fought against India and forced the latter to leave the battle ground.
He said that the sacrifices rendered by the Pakistan Army would always be remembered in the history. He said that Pakistan Army and nation were ready to fight against any aggression by the external forces.
A former Member National Assembly (MNA) Pir Noorul Haq Qadri said that the tribespeople had always offered sacrifices for the solidarity of the country. “The tribespeople cannot forget their national heroes,” he said, adding that the tribesmen had been defending the borders of the country since long.
