Rawalpindi : The Station Commander Brigadier Ijaz Qamar Kiyani along with Additional CEO Faisal Munir and representatives of Rawalpindi District Administration Sunday visited Choor Bazaar, Misrial Road and Range Road to check prices and quality of daily commodities.
On the occasion, a good number of shopkeepers were found involved in selling substandard and low standard food items like vegetables, fruits and other eatables. The personnel of Rawalpindi District Administration also took action against those shopkeepers who were found selling items and vegetables besides fruits on higher rates against the fixed rates announced by the administration. On the directives of the station commander, the Rawalpindi administration sealed number of shops and imposed heavy fine on shopkeepers.
In addition to that, encroachment of Akseer Plaza & Muzaffar Plaza on parking setback as well as encroachment of pushcarts in adjoining residential streets was also checked. Strict action was ordered against the encroachers.
