PESHAWAR: The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) on Thursday dispatched protection kits to three hospitals and district headquarters hospitals of the province.
A press release said that 1043 N95 masks and other kits were dispatched to the Lady Reading Hospital, Khyber Teaching Hospital, Police Services Hospital, DHQ Buner and DHQ Lower Dir in collaboration with the National Disasters Management Authority. The PDMA has so far provided 190,000 face masks, 700 personnel protection kits, 40,000 gloves, 1600 hygiene kits, 19,000 surgical caps and 770 liter sanitizers to the health department, district administrations and concerned departments in the province.
In a press release the PDMA said it has also provided 7000 beds and bed sheets, 680 liter chlorine, 20 spray machines to the concerned departments besides provision personnel protection kits to railways hospital Peshawar and different prisons in the province. More protection kits and other necessary gears will be provided and the Authority has asked the district administrations to use the relief items and gadgets in the quarantine centers already dispatched in January.
