Gigi Hadid feels 'humiliated' after Zayn Malik's 'pathetic' comment: Source
The singer's claim about ex girlfriend Gigi Hadid sparked backlash from her inner circle
Gigi Hadid is not really happy about Zayn Malik's recent comment about her.
The former couple dated on and off for six years, during which they also welcomed daughter Khai in 2020. They parted ways the next year.
In a recent interview, Zayn remarked that he'd never "truly been in love" with Gigi even after dating her for the longest time until now.
Now, after Zayn has broken his and Gigi's "unwritten rule to not talk about each other publicly," the One Direction alum's remarks have left Gigi's pals upset.
A source told The Sun, "There is nothing respectful about badmouthing the mother of your child. Gigi was completely blindsided. It's all so unnecessary and pathetic. It feels like a grubby ploy to get some headlines ahead of his new album launch.
"How can he say he was never in love with her? They were together for six years. To even suggest that their daughter was not the product of a loving relationship is cruel beyond words."
The tipster added, "Gigi has always refrained from saying an unkind word about him, so it makes it all the more humiliating."
Zain said on Alex Cooper's podcast, Call Her Daddy, on Wednesday, that his "understanding of love is always developing."
"At that moment in time, I might have thought it was love, but as I’ve got older, I’ve realised maybe it wasn’t. Maybe it was lust. Maybe it was this. Maybe it was that. I don’t feel like it was love."
"To be fair, just to have this on the record, I will always love G, because she is the reason my child is on this Earth and I have the utmost respect for her,' he insisted."
