Six polio workers suspended over negligence in Swat
MINGORA: Taking notice of the negligence, a senior official of the district administration suspended six polio workers, an official said on Sunday. Deputy Commissioner Mehmood Aslam Wazir paid surprise visits to various health centres to check the ongoing anti-polio campaign in the district and found six negligent polio workers.

MINGORA: Taking notice of the negligence, a senior official of the district administration suspended six polio workers, an official said on Sunday. Deputy Commissioner Mehmood Aslam Wazir paid surprise visits to various health centres to check the ongoing anti-polio campaign in the district and found six negligent polio workers. He directed the officials of the Health Department to immediately suspend them and take disciplinary action against them. The official said that 1,238 teams comprising of 1,109 mobile, 89 fixed and 40 transit teams were set up to make the drive successful. “I am personally supervising the campaign and no negligence on the part of the officials will ever be tolerated,” the official said.
