Fesco to get applications through online system

FAISALABAD: The Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (Fesco) has decided to get online applications from consumers for new electricity connections.
In this connection, the Fesco Chief Executive Officer has issued orders to implement the online applications in all sub-divisions of the Fesco region till end of March 2020.
The Fesco IT Department has developed the software for acceptance of online applications and this software is running on experimental basis while necessary training is also being provided to the Fesco staff.
After removing the faults during the experimental process, software would be available for all consumers.
The successful trial has made in 50pc sub-division of the Fesco while it would 100pc implemented in all the Fesco sub-divisions during next
month.After implementation of online applications, consumers would be able to apply online from any area of the Fesco and during site survey Fesco staff would collect the necessary documents from the consumer while information regarding acceptance or rejection of application would also be provided to consumers.
Fesco CEO Shafiqul Hassan said that the Fesco consumers were precious assets of the company and the Fesco was trying to provide excellent services to them.
Fake dacoity call citizen arrested: Police have arrested a citizen on the charge of fake dacoity call.
According to police here on Wednesday, accused Adeel of Muhammadi Chowk called police at its helpline and informed that armed dacoits snatched his motorcycle at gunpoint.
On the call, a police team reached on the spot and investigated the incident. However, during interrogation, it came into light that the dacoity call was bogus and the citizen called the police to tease his rival. Therefore, the police arrested Adeel and further investigations are in progress.
