Forgotten engineers

Pakistan needs a robust chemical and industrial sector; this can be created by our chemical engineers. Unfortunately, chemical engineers are not given any opportunity to join any government job, mainly because they are poorly represented in the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC). Therefore all jobs relevant to chemical engineering are offered to other engineers. Without any chemical engineers how will Pakistan create a better chemical industry?

I therefore request the PEC to introduce a permanent chemical engineering representative on the council. The PEC should also request that all government jobs in the areas of environment, industry, Oil & Gas, pipelines etc are offered first and foremost to our chemical engineers.
