PU pays tribute to Mujahid
LAHORE: Punjab University Department of History & Pakistan Studies organised a condolence reference to pay tribute to veteran historian and renowned journalist Sharif-ul-Mujahid here on Tuesday.
PU Department Chairman Prof Dr Mahboob Hussain and faculty members participated in the event. Talking to faculty members, Prof Dr Mahboob Hussain said late Sharif-ul-Mujahid authored many books and especially his research work on the life and services of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah would always provide a guideline for others. He said no conference on history and culture was complete without Mujahid’s presence. He said Sharif-ul-Mujahid motivated many scholars to do research on history and particularly on Pakistan movement. He added his death was a big loss and his gap could not be filled. The participants also offered Fateha for the departed soul.
