PRCS successfully executing V2R project in AJK: Abrar ul Haq
Islamabad : Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) Chairman Abrar ul Haq has said that Pakistanis are a resilient nation, and have courage as well as the will to bravely face any natural or man-made threats and disasters, says a press release.
Addressing the closing ceremony of three-day training organised in connection with the Vulnerability to Resilience (V2R) project launched in four districts of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Abrar ul Haq said the PRCS is a huge platform to serve the humanity. “We at PRCS are a family of dedicated, passionate and committed workers who have a common objective: serving the humanity,” he said, while addressing the participants. “Where there is a will, there is a way, if will is there, funds and resources are not an issue,” he said.
Abrar ul Haq said the PRCS is successfully implementing the V2R project in AJK and is committed to make it a complete success and role model for others to follow. He also hailed the services being rendered by the V2R project staff in all four targeted districts of AJK to mitigate the sufferings of the vulnerable communities.
He said the PRCS is in touch with several local and international organizations and institutions to expand its outreach and find new avenues of cooperation and collaboration to serve the downtrodden segments of the society. He said the PRCS will be launching a number of new initiatives in the new future to serve the humanitarian cause. “Together, we will make a new and resilient Pakistan,” he vowed.
Abrar ul Haq said training and passion are equally important in successful management of and better delivery during disasters and emergencies. He hoped that the training opportunity will help the participants gain knowledge of technical aspects of the V2R project and in turn improve productivity and ensure quality and compliance in the implementation phase.
Later, PRCS Chairman Abrar ul Haq awarded shields to the facilitators and certificates to the participants.
PRCS Joint Director Operations Abaidullah Khan, Adviser V2R Shahid Kazmi and Programme Manager Zubair Khan were also present on the occasion.
