DC for provision of daily use items on official rates

PAKPATTAN: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ahmed Kamal Wednesday asked officers to ensure provision of daily use items to consumers on official rates.

Addressing a meeting of the official, the DC directed officers to take action against shopkeepers, who violate official rates.

MINOR GIRL DIES IN ROAD ACCIDENT: A minor girl died in a road accident caused by dense fog on Wednesday. The daughter of Muhammad Tanveer Khan of Chak 47/EB was crossing Sahiwal Road, Arifwala, when a speeding rickshaw hit her, leaving her dead on the spot.

Hakim Ali was facing jail term on charges of drug peddling. He fell ill in the jail and was brought to hospital where he died.

MAN COMMITS SUICIDE: A man committed suicide over a domestic dispute. Rehan, 35, of village 4/1R was upset owing to a domestic issue for a few days. On the day of incident, he shot himself dead.
