LAHORE: Punjab government has held Walled City of Lahore Authority (WCLA) responsible for allowing a marriage function at the Lahore Fort.
Lahore Division commissioner presented the inquiry report of the event to the chief secretary, which asserted that entire department and top authorities of WCLA knew about the event before it was actually held at the fort.
Apparently, the Royal Kitchen was rented out to a private business enterprise, which was also not allowed under the rules to let the heritage site for commercial purposes. The report recommended taking action under the law against the responsible including the WCLA chairman and senior officers.
