Korean investors meet SCCI chief

PESHAWAR: A private South Korean Company CEO Youm Gyo, Ellen Sung and others called on the Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) Acting President Shahid Hussain.

“The KP has been blessed with an abundance of natural resources and has investment opportunities for investors in those potential sectors,” said the SCCI chief said and called upon the investors to benefit from these opportunities. Shahid Hussain said the SCCI in collaboration with Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority would soon fully operationalize a state of the art Business Facilitation Centre (BFC), which was meant at to facilitate business community and resolve their issues. He hoped the proposed BFC would play a pivotal role in industrialization in the province.

He said the SCCI wanted the government to take pragmatic steps to facilitate the business community and investors to promote industrialization in the province. On the occasion, the Korean investors expressed interest in investment in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Shahid Hussain welcomed the Korean private company for interest in investment in the province. He opined that the KP is the gateway to Afghanistan and Central Asian markets so the investors should fully exploit the province potentials and make the investment in the region.

Earlier, the Korean investors’ delegation was briefed about investment potentials in KP and asked them to make the investment of these sectors.
