ISLAMABAD: A team of United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC) is visiting Islamabad next month for country’s assessment of the implementation of articles under the UN Convention.
The visiting team of the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC) comprised of the joint reviewers from Norway and Solomon Islands including experts from the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) Secretariat (Vienna).
In this regard the meeting was held at NAB Headquarters to coordinate/arrange country review of Pakistan under the auspicious of United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC) by the joint reviewers from Norway and Solomon Islands including experts from the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) Secretariat (Vienna), commencing from 7-10 September 2015.
Waqas Qadeer Dar, Prosecutor General Accountability (PGA) NAB said that NAB is the focal institution of Pakistan under the UNCAC. He said all concerned ministries/divisions/ departments of the government of Pakistan including NAB (as the focal agency) should meet the requirements of the joint reviewers in the effective implementation of UN Convention during the upcoming Country Visit of Pakistan from 7-10 September 2015.
