KARACHI: An inquiry initiated against the initial appointment of around 100 officials of the Sindh Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has been converted into investigation.
NAB sources confided to The News that after obtaining some concrete evidences about alleged illegal appointments in the ACE, the NAB converted the inquiry into investigation.
The illegally appointed 100 employees including sub-inspectors of grade 14, assistant sub-inspectors (ASIs) of grade 11 and constables have now been promoted to upper grades as inspectors, sub-inspectors and head constables hired in 2011-12 allegedly on political basis without fulfilling any codal formalities and proper test and interviews.
