Tributes to Quaid-i-Azam, Allama Iqbal

Islamabad: The Islamabad Model College for Girls, F-7/2, on Wednesday organised a ceremony commemorating the services of father of the nation Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and national poet Allama Muhammad Iqbal.

The formidable efforts of Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Allama Iqbal defeated anti-Muslim forces and created Pakistan.

The students wholeheartedly took part in the ceremony. They delivered speeches to highlight the vision of Quaid-e-Azam and Allama Iqbal.

Students of the second year sang Iqbal's popular poem, 'shikwa' and Dua Raza of the first year the poem, khuddi.

Samina Rahim, head of the Urdu Department, read out one of the letters written in the recent competition, Letters to Quaid, held by the Ministry of Broadcast and Information.

Principal Dr. Balqees Nabbi, distributed prizes among the winners of the poster competition held on the quotation of the great personalities of Quaid-e-Azam and Allama Iqbal.

She thanked the audience and invited them to see the exhibition of rare and unique books and pictures on Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Allama Iqbal arranged by the National Library of Pakistan.
