Children’s Literature Festival concludes
The 63rd Children’s Literature Festival (CLF) concluded at Nishtar Hall and Peshawar Museum on Wednesday, bringing to a close two days of learning, activities and vibrant festivities for children in the provincial capital.
This was the first time the event was conducted concurrently at two separate venues, with a massive turnout and the grand reception, says a press release.
Back in Peshawar for the second time, the CLF received a tremendous response from students, teachers and the general public alike, with over 25,000 in attendance.Government, private and special education institutes across the province took part, with children traveling from districts such as Mardan, Nowshera, Swabi and Chitral to participate. Senator Meher Taj Roghani inaugurated the Convention on the Rights of the Child installation with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and visited the various sessions to motivate and appreciate the children. The event was organised by Idara-e-Taleem-o-Aagahi (ITA), with an aim to showcase Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s culture and heritage, alongside providing an equalizing platform to promote diverse and innovative means of learning.
