KARACHI: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has invited 65 players from seven zones of Karachi for trials to form a team for qualifying round of the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy at the National Stadium on Monday (tomorrow).
The PCB has asked all the players to report for the trials at 2pm sharp.
As per the new format introduced by PCB, Karachi Zebras will have to play in the qualifying round, while Karachi Dolphins will directly play the main round of the first-class tournament which this time will see 16 teams battling for the top honour.
The qualifying round will start from September 17. A source in the PCB said that Basit Ali, Azam Khan, and Saleem Jaffar are expected to supervise the trials.
Zone-I: Behram Khan, Farrukh Rizvi, Zia-ul-Haq, Ahsan Jameel, Waqar Anwar, Basit Ali, Nabeel Khalid, Yasir Hussain.
Zone-II: Shehroz Ali, Rao Waqar, Mohammad Wali, Naveed Khan, Wajid Saleem, Junaid Naeem, Faisal Tahir, Noor Wali, Saeed Bin Nasir Zone-III: Shehzar Hassan, Zeshan Jameel, Majid Khan, Amjad Manzoor, Nauman Saleem, Fahad Mehmood, Obaid Umair
Zone-IV: Haris Ali, Wajahat Khan, Mohammad Bilal, Mohammad Yaqoob, Shoaib Khan, Sharjeel Razzaq, Nadeem Shad, Yasir Mushtaq, Zohaib Shera
Zone-V: Arsalan Bashir, Zohaib Abid, Wasim Ahmed, Mubashir Ahmed, Mohammad Salman, Mohammad Zohaib, Moazzam Malik, Maroof Aziz
