Islamabad :Instead of filling the post by a regular appointment, the Ministry of National Health Services has
made a gynaecological surgeon the acting executive director of the Federal Government Polyclinic, the capital city's second large government hospital after Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS).
BPS-20 Polyclinic surgeon (gynaecology) Dr Naila Israr has been granted the ‘look after charge' for the executive director’s post in addition to her own duties with an immediate effect and until further orders, read a notification issued by the ministry.
The development duly approved by the health secretary comes in the wake of the retirement of Dr Shuaib Khan, who landed the top Polyclinic position only few months ago.
Gynaecologist Dr Naila is part of a team formed by the health ministry to oversee the administrative matters of Polyclinic. There is no official about when the hospital will get the regular top boss.
