PAF to thwart enemy’s evil design: air chief
ISLAMABAD: Chief of the Air Staff (CAS) Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan has said that Pakistan Air Force (PAF) is fully capable of defending country’s air frontiers and prepared to thwart any evil design of the enemy.
“No one other knows the PAF capability better than our enemy.” ACM Mujahid Anwar Khan was talking to The News Sunday here at the Islamabad Club polo ground where he was chief guest in CAS challenge cup polo final match that was won by the PAF team defeating Kalabagh Aasian in a thrilling contest.
To a query the Air Chief said that Pakistan understands needs and requirements of modern trends regarding areal defence and aware of India’s lust for acquiring the most sophisticated weaponry with aggressive motives but Pakistan has developed system which will never allow the enemy to succeed in its ulterior motives. The training and motivation of the PAF personnel is second to none in the world and they are alert to fulfil their obligations, he said.
The Air Chief said that the PAF would foil any misadventure by the enemy and is ready to respond to any incursion with full force as per the aspirations of the nation. He reminded that Pakistan is a peace-loving nation but warned that if the enemy committed any error of assessment and venture any misadventure the PAF would surprise it yet another time by taking it to task.
He made it clear that the PAF and other defence forces are ever ready to take on all kinds of challenges with operational preparedness and immaculate synergy. He expressed satisfaction over the operational preparedness of the whole force and lauded the high morale of the combat crew.
Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan said that Pakistan wouldn’t lower its guard as long the enemy is reverted to peacetime locations and withdraw its steps that have vitiated the ambiance in the region. He distributed prizes among the winners and handed the cup to PAF team.
Former chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) retired Air Chief Marshal Farooq Feroz Khan, former acting Air Chief Air Marshal Rahim Yousafzai, Turkish Ambassador Ehsan Mustafa Yardukul, ambassadors, high commissioners and senior diplomats turned up to enjoy the final contest in large number played amid ideal and pleasant atmosphere. Serena Hotel was among the sponsors of the tournament.
