LAHORE: The E-Rozegar centres will be established across the province. The centres are ready in Taunsa, DG Khan and Rahimyar Khan while the centres are under progress in Nankana Sahib, Pakpattan, Jhang, Chakwal, Rajanpur and Bahawalnagar, said Punjab Minister for Sports, Youth Affairs and Tourism Rai Taimoor Khan Bhatti while chairing a meeting on the E-Rozegar Project at National Hockey Stadium on Thursday.
The centres will also be introduced in the government universities and colleges with the technical assistance of Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB), he said, adding overall Rs 870 million had been allocated for the E-Rozegar Project while Rs 180 million had been allocated in the current year budget for it.
The minister said 30 E-Rozegar centres had been established in the province with the collaboration of Punjab Youth Ministry and Punjab Information Technology Board. The centres are playing key role in providing job opportunities and launching their own business to the youths of the province, he said.
He stated said 64,000 youngsters had been given training under the E-Rozegar Project. A mega free-lancing convention will be held in Lahore in connection with the E-Rozegar Project. Punjab Sports Secretary Nadeem Mehboob said the talented youths of the province were being given leadership training.
