Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah said on Thursday he would talk with Governor Imran Ismail and request him to get all the Governor House’s vehicles registered after a video showed a black BMW bearing a fake licence plate number, AAA-786, in the governor’s protocol.
He was talking to media on Thursday while presiding over the graduation ceremony of the 27th Mid-term Career Management Course (MCMC) at the National Institute of Management (NIM). The chief minister said that the car with a fake number plate was moving on roads and a police mobile was escorting it. “When the video went viral on social media, I asked the excise and taxation minister to trace the owner of the car,” Shah said, adding that the minister told him that the vehicle belonged to the Governor House.
He said the police had registered an FIR but it was not against the governor. “When I became the chief minister, I got all the CM House’s vehicles registered with the Excise and Taxation Department, and I will talk to the governor and request him to get all his house vehicles registered,” he said.
