Meeting reviews prices
Rawalpindi :The Deputy Commissioner Saif Ullah Dogar has underlined the need to strengthen price control system so that no shopkeeper could indulge in violation of Price Act in the district.
He had a detailed review of prices, quality and supply of essential commodities in the market during a special meeting in his office, Tuesday. The meeting was attended by the officers of district administration and price control magistrates.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the price control magistrates to ensure strict enforcement of fixed rates of essential commodities. For this, the price magistrates must remain present in the markets of their respective areas and keep a vigilant eye on the prices, he added. He was confident that there was no shortage of any essential item in the market. The deputy commissioner warned that overcharging of prices by any shopkeeper was not tolerable at all and those guilty would be behind bars.
