Rawalpindi: The residents of Rawalpindi and adjacent areas on Tuesday demanded from Water and Sanitation Agency (Wasa) to take measures for supply of clean drinking water to avoid ailments.
Talking to APP, members of the civil society urged Wasa officials to initiate new water supply schemes so the people in the city and adjacent areas could be protected from different diseases that may erupt due to contaminated drinking water.
PML-N Rawalpindi Chapter General Secretary Haji Pervaiz Khan said there is issue of water shortage. The available water is often found contaminated and is believed to be unsafe for cooking and drinking purposes.
