Islamabad: The Environment Wing of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has started removing wild bushes and grass, which has grown in the Federal Capital as result of ongoing monsoon season.
An official of the Capital Development Authority said here that wild bushes and shrubs not only disturb the natural beauty of Islamabad but also provide potential breeding sites for the growth of Dengue larva, so these are being removed on priority and no laxity will be tolerated in this regard.
Talking to APP, he said that the first of all Capital Development Authority teams will remove grass, bushes on main roads, then all centers of the Capital, adding, streets will be cleaned at the end.
Labour and special grass cutting machines are being used to clean the all areas of Islamabad, he added.
In this connection, special teams have been constituted, and their performance will be monitored on daily basis.
These special teams have started work on war footings and are busy in removing wild bushes and grass, particularly from green belts, median strips, different ‘marakiz’ and residential areas of Islamabad.
