The residents of a street of Sector G-11/1 who have been receiving contaminated water supply for the last over one month have appealed to senior officials of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to intervene the matter and come to their rescue.
Muhammad Farooq, a resident of Street no.23 of Sector G-11/1 told 'The News' that they have approached concerned officials of the authority including director and others to check leakage in service lines of water and sewerage but to no avail.
“The personnel of CDA came but they did nothing except from digging some ditches, and left,” he said.
He said he was also keeping samples of water which they are receiving. “Neither we can use this water for purpose of cooking nor can do ablution or take bath,” he said.
He said the water is contaminated and giving smell and could spread Hepatitis in the areas.
Member Engineering Shahid Sohail, when contacted by this correspondent, said he would send teams of concerned officials to the site for resolution of the problem.
