To prepare before the visit of Prime Minister Imran Khan to Karachi, which is his third visit to the city since he became the chief executive of the country last year, Sindh Governor Imran Ismail on Friday chaired a meeting of the core group of the newly formed Karachi Transformation Committee.
Participants of the meeting were briefed on under-construction development projects in the city. The expressed their resolve to take all possible efforts to complete the federal government-funded development projects in the city by September 2019.
The meeting was informed that the Green Line Bus Rapid Transit service would be completed at the earliest in order to resolve issues of the city related to public transportation. It was said in the meeting that the PM would be briefed in detail on the state of ongoing federally funded development projects in the city during his current visit. The PM would also inaugurate the renovated Bagh Ibn-e-Qasim in Clifton on Saturday (today).
The meeting was attended by Muhammad Sualeh Ahmed Faruqui, Prof Dr Sarosh Hashmat Lodi, Samar Ali Khan, Rohail Muhammad and other members of the transformation committee.
