District Nazim Sahibzada Fasihullah was the chief guest on the occasion. Barawal Tehsil Nazim Jehan Alam, CCDP district manager Muhammad Khaliq and others also attended the ceremony.

Hundreds of women are being trained at vocational centres in Dir under the project.

The district nazim said that up to 1,000 women were given sewing machines across the district through women’s development fund of the district government’s ADP.

He said the district government would establish a display centre in Dir where handicrafts and home-made items would be kept for sale and the earning would be given to the women.
