Police on Monday arrested a female doctor charged over murder of a teenage school teacher in the outskirt of the city.
An 18-year-old died on Friday when she was under treatment at a private clinic located near Pasban Chowk in Korangi 100-Quarters within the limits of the Ibrahim Hyderi police station. The police said they had arrested Sumera Gul alias Tabasum, who managed to escape following the incident. Another doctor involved in the case, Uzma, and a nurse, Farzana, were arrested on Friday on the complaint on the victim’s husband.
Police said the victim went to the clinic for abortion where her condition worsened due to improper treatment, and she breathed her last while being shifted to another hospital for treatment.
