National judicial policy lauded
Rawalpindi : Former president District Bar Association Rawalpindi Mr. Khurrum Massod Kiyani Advocate has appreciated measures proposed by the National Judicial Policy under the chairmanship of Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Asif Syed Khosa, aimed at expeditious disposal of criminal cases, promote transparency and truthfulness in administration of justice, says a press release.
According to Kiyani, a majority of truly professional lawyers has supported the proposed measures, which is no way curtailing High Court jurisdiction and authority vesting in Justice-of-Peace to intervene in appropriate cases. He said that the abuse of process of law must end in order to restore people’s confidence in administration of justice. Kiyani concluded that it is the high time to curb frivolous, fictitious and tainted litigation and standing in impediment to the professional growth of talented young lawyers, who have greater opportunity to make successful career, incredible and effective legal system.
