ISLAMABAD: The ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s veteran member, Saifullah Khan Niazi has been appointed its chief organiser with immediate effect.

After getting a go-ahead from PTI Chairman Imran Khan, a notification was issued Wednesday. Niazi has been tasked with the reorganisation of the party in the four provinces, Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan as well as the Islamabad Capital Territory.

As per the notification, all office-bearers will be bound to consult the chief organiser and be accountable to him as well.

Meanwhile, reacting to PPPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s news conference in Karachi, PTI Information Secretary Omar Sarfraz Cheema contended that the nation would have understood after his media talk that Bilawal’s hue and cry was that the on-going accountability process must be stopped. He pointed out that during the last ten years, PPP found no problem with the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and now all of a sudden, it was slamming it. In a statement issued here, Cheema said that the government was prepared for amendments in the accountability law but there was a big no to any effort aimed at crippling the anti-graft body.
