Five labourers suffered injuries when a fire broke out at a scrap warehouse in an Orangi Town neighbourhood on Thursday.
Responding to information, one fire tender was immediately dispatched to the warehouse the warehouse located in Orangi Town No. 5. However, due to the intensity of the blaze, more fire tender were dispatched to the scene. According to a fire brigade spokesperson, five people suffered burn injuries and they were rescued in an unconscious condition.
The injured were initially shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital from where they were later moved to the Burns Ward of the Civil Hospital Karachi. The injured persons were identified as 60-year-old Rozi Khan, his son Sanaullah, 24, Ali Sher, 29, Ejazuddin, 20, and Noor Muhammad.
Rozi Khan and Noor Muhammad were admitted to the hospital with critical injuries. Police visited the property and inquired about the incident. The labourers were busy with their routine work when the incident happened.
