Five Levies men injured in Bajaur blast

KHAR: Five personnel of the Levies Force sustained injuries while defusing an explosive device in Nawagai tehsil of Bajaur Agency on Tuesday, official sources said.
The sources said that the bomb disposal unit of Bajaur Levies was informed that unidentified persons had planted an explosive device in Babra Charmang village in Nawagai tehsil.
Following the information, the officials reached the spot and tried to defuse the explosive, which went off, leaving five of them injured.
Naib Subedar Muhib reported to be the in-charge of the squad was among the injured. They were rushed to the Agency Headquarters Hospital in Khar.
The sources said that four of them were airlifted in helicopter to the Combined Military Hospital in Peshawar due to their critical condition.
