A 25-year-old youth committed suicide by taking poisonous pills in the Badami Bagh area on Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Mohsin, a resident of Khokhar Road, Badami Bagh. Police said Mohsin infuriated after having an exchange of hot words with his family members over an unknown issue. He locked himself up in a room and swallowed poisonous pills. As a result, his condition went critical. He was rushed to a local hospital, where he expired.
PRISONER DIES: A prisoner of Camp Jail died of medical complications in a local hospital on Sunday. The deceased identified as Tanveer Ahmad was jailed in connection with a murder case registered against him in Sialkot. On May 22, 2015, Tanveer’s condition went critical due to medical complications, on which he was admitted to jail hospital and later shifted to Jinnah Hospital where he expired Sunday. Police shifted the body to morgue.
FOUND DEAD: Three persons were found dead in various parts of the city on Sunday. A 45-year-old man was found dead in the limits of Data Darbar police station; a 75-year-old man was recovered dead from the area of Civil Line police station and a 60-year-old man was found dead in the jurisdiction of Mughalpura police station. Police claimed that all the three men, who were yet to be identified, were addicts who might have died of excessive use of drugs. Bodies were shifted to morgue.
HIT TO DEATH: A man died and another received injuries when they were hit by a train in the Green Town area on Sunday. Mohammad Hussain, 36, a resident of Bulhay Shah Park Kot Lakhpat, and Mubarak, a resident of Mohammadi Mohalla Pindi Stop Kot Lakhpat, attempted to cross the train track on a bike on Peco Road when the railway gate was closed. Meanwhile, a train approached there and rammed into their vehicle. As a result, Hussain died on the spot while Mubarak suffered legs fracture. He was admitted to a local hospital where his condition was said to be precarious.
In another incident, two bike riders lost their lives in an accident near Ring Road. Both the persons, yet to be identified, died when their bikes collided with each other.
