AN 18-year-old youth was killed by a truck in the limits of the Shafiqabad police station Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Ijaz Khan of Malipura. Police said that victim was on his way on a bike when a rashly-driven truck hit him on main Bund Road. The truck driver escaped after leaving his vehicle behind the scene. The injured boy was taken to a nearby hospital where he died. Police registered a case against unknown driver and handed over the body to the family.

PHP arrested 22 criminals and recovered three riffles, five pistols, 39litre wine and 320g charas from their possession. PHP arrested a proclaimed offender and five others for using liquor. PHP reunited two children with their parents.
