‘LCWU radio becomes voice of women’

LAHORE
A ceremony in connection with the 6th anniversary of Lahore College for Women University’s FM 96.6 was held on Friday.
MPA Kiran Dar, former Minister for Social Welfare, was the chief guest who, speaking on the occasion, observed that LCWU’s campus radio FM 96.6 had become a voice of women along with fulfilling the educational and recreational needs of the varsity students.
Prof. Dr. Mugheesud Din Sheikh, Dean of Social Sciences, University of Central Punjab, was also present who appreciated the efforts of Dr Anjum Zia, Chairperson of LCWU Department of Mass Communication and her team, for providing a platform to the young students of LCWU to voice them through the medium of radio.
Gulzar-ud-Din Usmani (Former controller of Radio Pakistan), Shawar Haider (Programme Manager of Radio Pakistan), Dr. Nosheena Saleem (In-Charge of Punjab University’s Institute of Communication Studies), Ahmad Sheikh Sahab (Radio Station Head at University of Management Technology) and Prof Dr Ayesha Roohi (Dean of Social Sciences), and others were also present. Adil Aziz, Assistant Director of FM 96.6, presented an annual report of the campus radio.
