Terrorist killed, arms recovered in Mastung
MASTUNG/DERA BUGTI: An alleged terrorist was killed and arms recovered from his possession after exchange of fire with security forces here on Thursday.
Levies sources said that on an intelligence tip-off the security forces raided a compound in Spilinji area Dasht in district Mastung of Balochistan.
The terrorist taking shelter started firing at security forces and tried to flee. In retaliatory firing of the security forces the terrorist was also killed and arms recovered from his possession.
The body of killed terrorist was shifted to Civil Hospital Quetta for postmortem.
Meanwhile, two Frontier Corps (FC) men were injured when a vehicle hit a landmine Dera Bugti on Thursday.
According to details the FC personnel were conducting clearance operation with the security forces vehicle which hit a landmine planted by militants by roadside in Sangsela area of Dera Bugti.
Two FC personnel were injured in the landmine explosion and rushed to hospital for treatment. The security forces cordoned off the area after the explosion and conducted search operation but no arrest could be made.
