Eight dead, two injured as dumper, rickshaw collide

SARGODHA: At least eight people, including a woman, died and two others injured in collision between a dumper and a rickshaw near Chak 110 Southern on Sunday.
Police said that a rickshaw got out of the driver’s control after one of its wheel separated and it hit a dumper.
As a result, eight people - Jannat Bibi, Mehboob Hassan, Imtiaz, Muhammad Akbar, Sohail Masih, Talib Hussain, Saifullah and Ali Husnain – were killed on the spot. Sarfraz and Imran received serious injuries.
The bodies and injured were shifted to the district headquarters (DHQ) hospital. The dumper driver, however, managed to escape from the scene.
