KARACHI: The MQM chief, Altaf Hussain, has said that his party would now talk to the PPP with a written agreement signed with former president Asif Ali Zardari. He said that “we have got the reward after the talks with Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah” and now only talks could be held after a written agreement with the PPP.
Altaf said it was a bitter experience with the CM. He said this while giving an interview to a local TV channel on Thursday.Replying to a question that the government should announce to make the country weapon free and give three or six months time, he said the MQM would be the first to welcome. He further said all the citizens of the country should surrender unlicensed and licensed arms to the government.
Altaf said the government should take responsibility for the security of the citizens.He further disclosed that Mustafa Kamal and Anis Qaimkhani were not removed from the party. He said if a few persons are bad in the party, the whole of MQM should not be termed as a bad party. Altaf in his interview also said he was facing a case of money laundering and was not facing trial against the murder of Imran Farooq. He said not a single target killer was arrested from his house and the Rangers returned. He further said that more than 50 persons were removed from the party from Karachi Tanzeeme Committee and other department.
Altaf said today he called Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Interior Minister Chaudry Nisar to talk about the betterment of the country but both of them were not available as Nawaz Sharif was in the KP.Referring to Imran Khan, he said how could he look after the country when he was not able to look after his alleged daughter.
