PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has prepared a list of public servants found involved in corrupt practices so that action can be taken against them.The decision was taken at a meeting with Chief Minister Pervez Khattak in the chair on Wednesday.
According to an official handout, modern monitoring system along with material testing laboratories and quality control cells would be set up at the divisional and provincial level to check the standard of development schemes and unearth corrupt practices at the lower level.
In order to probe corruption cases and other irregularities, permanent enquiry committees comprising of reputed and honest officers would also be formed.“A high-level committee of heads of all works departments will propose measures within three days for further controlling corruption in their departments,” said the communiqué.
The meeting was held for reviewing outcome of the system reforms, which were introduced for elimination of corruption in departments.Besides others, the meeting was attended by senior ministers Inayatullah and Shahram Khan Tarakai, Advisor to Chief Minister for C&W Akbar Ayub Khan, Minister Irrigation Mehmood Khan, Chief Secretary Amjad Ali Khan, Parliamentary Secretary for Anti-Corruption and Provincial Inspection Team Dr. Haider Ali and chairman of Chief Minister Complaint Cell Dilroz Khan.
