LONDON: Hull KR centre Thomas Minns gave an emotional apology as he revealed he failed a drugs test after battling depression following the death of his mother. Minns tested positive for a banned, non-performance enhancing substance following Hull KR’s 38-6 win at Huddersfield on March 15. The Super League club withdrew the 23-year-old from last Saturday’s match at Warrington and now say he has been placed on extended leave. Minns issued a statement apologising for his actions and said he was suffering from depression at the time. “I want to personally apologise to everyone involved who I have let down and disappointed,” Minns said.
