US President Donald Trump has brought the world on the brink of World War III. He is exploiting the situation in Syria and violating all international laws. Trump is using the alleged chemical weapons attack as a pretext to carry out deadly attacks. This reminds us of the time when in the early 2000s, former US president George Bush used unverified information to substantiate his plans to invade Iraq. Presidential palaces in Iraq were attacked in search of weapons of mass destruction. However, in the end, no evidence was found that could support America’s fallacious claims. But all of this led to the deaths of hundreds and thousands of Iraqis who are still bearing the brunt of the war and desperately waiting for stability.
The same strategy is being used by the incumbent US president who recently launched missile attack on Syria to counter the alleged chemical attack launched by the Syrian government. It is distressing to see that no competent authority has come forward to tackle US aggression. Such wars and aggression destabilise countries and deprive citizens of their right to life.
