Bid to smuggle heroin abroad thwarted

PESHAWAR: The Anti Narcotics Force foiled two bids to smuggle heroin abroad, an official said on Monday. The official said 890 grams of heroin was recovered from one Mustaqeem of Kohat who was on his way to Sharjah through an international flight at the Bacha Khan International Airport.
Also, 560 grams of heroin were recovered from one Aziz of Hangu who was about to fly to Doha. Besides, the ANF official said that two kilograms of heroin were recovered from one Khyal Wali near Karkhano while 80 kilograms of hashish was recovered from a truck in Nowshera. Cases were lodged against the accused.
