Chinese company offers low cost, energy efficient housing

PESHAWAR: Nanjong Sanjian Construction Company Limited, a Chinese construction company, has offered to introduce low cost and energy efficient housing in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The offer was conveyed by a representative delegation to Special Assistant to Chief Minister Dr Amjad Ali and Director General Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Housing Authority Saifur Rahman Usmani at meeting Thursday, said a handout.

Special assistant to the chief minister and the Provincial Housing Authority DG briefed the delegation in detail about the opportunities of investment in the province, the need of housing units and the investment environment, particularly the need for energy efficient housing.

The members of the delegation informed them about their capabilities and leadership qualities in technology.

They said that the houses they construct were not only low costs, but durable and energy efficient.

After a detailed discussion, it was decided that the Chinese company would immediately construct the demonstration units in a suitable place preferable near the motorways and enter into an agreement either in a joint venture or independently.
