Turk Plast, Amar Cables enter Veterans Cricket final

LAHORE: Turk Plast and Amar Cables qualified for the final of the 8th Amar Cables T-20 Veterans Cricket Championship here on Friday. The final will be played on April 1. In the first semifinal, Turk Plast beat Golden Eagles by 60 runs.

Scores: Turk Plast 177/8 after 20 overs (Kamran Hussain 50, Rana Naveedul Hassan 33, Bilal Khilji 15, Ashfaq Aslam 15. M. Saeed 3 wickets). Golden Eagles all out for 117 runs (M. Hafeez 48, Zubair Butt 19. M. Nawaz 4 wickets, Bilal Khilji & Yasir Mian 2 wickets each). Waleed Yaqub and Rana Sohail were the umpires and Sajid Usman was the scorer. In the end, Chief Guest Anwaar Ul Haq Khan gave man of the match award to Kamran Hussain.In the second semifinal, Amar Cables beat Aftab Qarshi by 8 wickets.

Scores: Aftab Qarshi 146/8 in 20 overs (Shahid Ishaq 43, Asif Ijaz 31. Akbar Ali 3/34, Javed Khan 2/23). Amar Cables 147/2 in 18.3 overs (Saleem Elahi 76*, Shahid Akram 59). Chief guest Amer Ilyas Butt gave away man of the match award to Saleem Elahi.
