LAHORE: Punjab Inspector General Police Cap (R) Arif Nawaz Khan said up gradation of police training was the need of the hour. He was addressing the police officers session related to police training at Central Police Office. “The training course of constables to sub-inspector ranks has been switched into semester system.
IT, media management, sports, character building, and training of stress management module have been included as essential part of syllabus,” he said.
Cap Arif said among other extracurricular activities, special attention should be given to trainee cops for their character building which involves personality grooming, moralities, traffic management, first aid, personal hygiene, efficient communication and views of creative abilities. He said the refresher course for training of instructors should be boosted up. He said if any instructor or house master found in abuse with newly recruited cops, a strict action would be taken against them.
