Faizabad sit-in case: Arrest warrants for Khadim Rizvi, others issued
ISLAMABAD: The arrest warrants for Maulana Khadim Hussain Rizvi and other absconding suspects in the Faizabad sit-in case have been issued on Saturday. The anti-terrorism court (ATC) issued arrest warrants of Khadim Hussain Rizvi and others in five more cases at Islamabad’s I-9 police station. Charges of involvement in terror activities are included in the warrant.
The warrants were issued by ATC Judge Shahrukh Arjumand over the cases registered in the I-9 police station. Till date, warrants have been issued against the suspects in 14 out of 26 cases. Nine have been issued by the ATC whereas five by a civil court.
Police say that they have received all the 14 arrest warrants by the courts. The suspects are facing multiple charges including terrorism in the cases.
