National Games may be postponed once again
KARACHI: National Games are likely to be postponed once again, a highly credible source told ‘The News’ on Monday.
The source said that after a meeting in Peshawar on Monday, the Pakistan Olympic Association’s (POA) Sports Commission also held a meeting and decided to write a letter to the POA chief Lt Gen (retd) Arif Hasan. He will decide the fate of the Games.
The source said that sports commission was not satisfied with the presentation given by the Balochistan Sports Board officials in the meeting at Peshawar and the overall preparation for the biennial spectacle which has been postponed several times.
“I am very much sure that the Games will be postponed and the POA will announce it tomorrow,” the source said. The Games are slated to be held in Quetta from April 21-29.
