LAHORE: The Women-on-Wheels scheme trainees have been invited to the PSL semi-final being held on March 20 at Qaddafi Stadium.
The Women-on-Wheels campaign was initiated in 2015 in Lahore through provision of free motorbike training to women. It aims to provide women with their right to mobility and reclaim public spaces.
The trainees will participate in a rally. They will ride motorbikes with celebrities. The celebrities include iconic figures for women empowerment such as Jugnu Mohsin, Juggan Kazim, Sohai Ali Abro and Mira Sethi.

The event would mark an important step for the promotion of women empowerment movement led by the Punjab government.
The Women-on-Wheels campaign has trained more than 3,500 women in the districts of Lahore, Multan, Sargodha, Faisalabad and Rawalpindi. The campaign provides free motorbike training and subsidised customised motorbikes to women. The applications for the Scheme are open till March 25, 2018.
