'Go Imran Go – “Roo Imran Roo' slogans chanted after PTI women hurl eggs, tomatoes at Gulalai

BAHAWALPUR: PTI women wing leader Shehla Ahsan and others hurled eggs and tomatoes on party’s rebel MNA Ayesha Gulalai as she arrived at a hotel Friday evening, where she was invited by ‘Suba Bahawalpur Bahali Tehreek’ activists.

When Gulalai entered the hotel lawn, Shehla with her group started throwing eggs and tomatoes on her amid shouting “go Gulalai go” slogans. 

Local PTI women wing office-bearers also asked Gulalai that why she had come to Bahawalpur as restoring province was not her domain.

 It would only be restored by PTI Chairman Imran Khan when he comes in power, they added.

As the party’s activists continued their rowdyism despite stopping by the hosts, the ‘Suba Bahawalpur Bahali Tehreek’ activists started protest against the PTI women activists shouting “Go Imran Go” – “Roo Imran Roo” slogans. 

However, later the PTI women activists left the hotel. 

 While talking to media, Ayesha Gulalai said her party would support the restoration of Bahawalpur’s provincial status and creating new provinces would also strengthen federation. 

On country’s politics, she said three main political parties leadership was linked with each other and corruption and ignoring masses were their common agenda. 

 Now people have become so courageous that they had started hurling shoes at the corrupt leadership, she further said. 

She said her new party name is “Tehreek Insaf-G” and G was not only for Gulalai but it’s also the symbol of decent reply. It would promote politics of decency in the country.
