Monthly stipend for girl students increased
LAHORE: Punjab Minister for School Education Rana Mashood Ahmed Khan Monday said under Zewar-e-Taleem Programme monthly stipend for female students of class six to metric had been increased from Rs200 to Rs1,000 in Southern Punjab.
According to a handout, while chairing a meeting he said 4,16,000 female students were getting benefit of the programme. He said modern teaching technology was being introduced in public sector schools.Smart digital boards, smart labs and multimedia classrooms were being established in the schools under this project, he added.
The minister said besides provision of tablets, smart boards were being installed in 2,000 the schools. He said the government had eradicated child labour at brick kiln through financial aid.
